We had our house in Oak Ridge, North Carolina on the market to sell for a year with nary a nibble. The house did need some updating, but originally we felt it would sell within a couple of months. After a disappointing year with negative feedback from potential buyers, we took the house off the market to do some repairs. We met with Nancy Jones of Showhomes North Carolina. I was extremely skeptical about the service at first, but given the lack of activity on the house, it was worth a try. Under the guidance of Nancy, and with a pre-agreed budget, we renovated the kitchen and master bath, painted and updated nearly the entire interior, and repaired a myriad of minor problems. In addition, Nancy and her husband moved into the house to stage it properly and to do routine maintenance. Nancy recommended a new realtor to us as well. We re-listed the house at a higher selling price after the upgrades, and within 5 days we had two offers.

I actually contacted Nancy for staging help, but after she saw my furniture she said I did not need her help with staging and my furniture was perfect. Instead, she offered help with coordinating painters and a flooring guy - which took a huge burden off my shoulders. Nancy was very instrumental in getting our house prepped for sale. She helped pick neutral paint colors and gave multiple suggestions for staging (even though I was using my own furniture!) and improving the house. Her guys came in and worked quickly to paint, update flooring, and add a new electrical outlet. She was prompt in responding to all of our questions and quickly made sure to fix anything we were unhappy with (which wasn't very much!) We would have never been able to get our house ready to sell as fast (and for the price) as we did without her help.

While I thought the home manager program and staging were great ideas and offerings, I just never seemed to have the opportunity to give them a try. The crew did a terrific job staging my house for sale (wish I had done so earlier in the listing) and well as the 'de-staging' when sold. Very careful, seamless on the setup. And, the updated look achieved by the staging was beautifully done and well received by the market. The Home Manager program is one of the especially appealing aspects of the services offered by ShowHomes Triad.
I was able to move out of my home with complete confidence that it was well taken care of, lived in by a caring, responsible individual and not just periodically ‘checked on.’ The house was kept clean, and the home manager coordinated directly and easily with agents showing the home. Showhomes is an incredible team that gets results! Nancy could not be more engaged and responsive to us as out of state owners who needed to get our home ready to sell. Constantly high-energy, she managed a major master bath makeover, dozens of small repairs, fixes and upgrades as well as the dramatic final staging.
The work from her team was incredible, and we got to observe the finished project in person. The color pallet was ideal and the craftsmanship was first rate. Nancy's team expertly tackled repairs and refinishing of exotic woods as well as rebuilt sticking, faulty components on our high end sliding doors and windows.
