After all, isn&#8217;t it enough to have decided to sell? Isn&#8217;t<br \/>\nthat the biggest obstacle to overcome? &#8220;To List or Not To List,&#8221; that<br \/>\nis the question, right? Well, no, in fact, the most important decision is to do<br \/>\nwhat many sellers can&#8217;t quite do and that is to DISCONNECT EMOTIONALLY.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: normal; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; vertical-align: baseline;\"><span style=\"font-family:\" tahoma\",sans-serif;=\"\" mso-fareast-font-family:\"times=\"\" new=\"\" roman\";color:#333333\"=\"\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: normal; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; vertical-align: baseline;\"><span style=\"font-family:\" tahoma\",sans-serif;=\"\" mso-fareast-font-family:\"times=\"\" new=\"\" roman\";color:#333333\"=\"\">What does it mean to<br \/>\ndisconnect from a home emotionally? One&#8217;s home is not just a house; it is an<br \/>\nemotional place, a place of comfort and respite, a place where memories have been<br \/>\nmade, and life takes place. It represents our investment, in not only the<br \/>\npurchase, but also in the moments there where we have exchanged joys and<br \/>\nsorrows, conversation, meals, and the many experiences that we treasure. Home<br \/>\nshould be emotional, but when the time comes to put your home on the market,<br \/>\nthat switch must not just be turned off, but truly unplugged! In your mind and<br \/>\nheart, the home has to become just a house again.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: normal; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; vertical-align: baseline;\"><span style=\"font-family:\" tahoma\",sans-serif;=\"\" mso-fareast-font-family:\"times=\"\" new=\"\" roman\";color:#333333\"=\"\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: normal; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; vertical-align: baseline;\"><span style=\"font-family:\" tahoma\",sans-serif;=\"\" mso-fareast-font-family:\"times=\"\" new=\"\" roman\";color:#333333\"=\"\">For some people, the<br \/>\nmere thought of taking that emotional value away is unfathomable. I&#8217;ve run into<br \/>\nthis so many times as I have consulted with homeowners. They believe that even<br \/>\nafter they move, the new owners will somehow honor their decorating, their memories,<br \/>\nand their investment. They want to believe that even after the home is sold,<br \/>\nthey will still be a part of it. Holding onto this belief clouds their judgment<br \/>\nand makes the home sale process difficult. Put simply, the emotional attachment that magnetizes you to your<br \/>\nhome, will de-magnetize potential buyers to the property.
