Realtor.com: Best Practices in Staging the Living Room

Home staging is a key tool to selling a house. It helps with first impressions, building a vision for the homebuyer, and overall appeal of the home. Above all, the living room is a very important area to stage ahead of a sale, as it is the spot when the potential buyer will envision most of their time spent.

When it comes to staging the living area, some trends are a must ahead of putting the home on the market.

She added in the interview, “A dark sofa against big, bright windows can be blinding, but shades of gray or khaki can help eyes adjust more quickly so the buyer can take in the room and exterior views.”
