Sylvia, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I developed my confidence and self-esteem from my father. My father would always tell me how great I was and to hold my head up and bet on myself. My father consistently reminded me that I could become anything I wanted to become, go anywhere I wanted to go. He truly believed in me so much that in turn, I believed in myself.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I own a home staging business, Showhomes of Cobb in Metro Atlanta. As a home stager, I have the opportunity to help homeowners sell their beautiful spaces. Showhomes of Cobb provides staging services for homewowners and realtors. We place furniture in vacant spaces as well as organize and stage occupied spaces. The process of staging is so exciting because of the transformation of the space. Furniture size and placement is very important when staging a home to go on the market. We also do Home Manager Staging that is a special service we provide for homeowners of high-end homes.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The skills that have added me with is journey are time management, communication, and professionalism. I would tell anyone starting out with a business or service to always have a schedule to help with time management. Reach out to clients and always return calls and text in a timely manner to maintain strong effective communication. The last thing is to always be professional.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

If I only had a decade of life left, I would expand my business immediately. Just do it. I would also travel more with my immediate and extended family. And lastly, I would become a foodie and try to eat at as many establishments as possible.
