Adjusting our Showhomes Sails in the Midst of the COVID-19 Crisis<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe global pandemic that has gripped our personal and professional lives
\nhas and will have a long lasting and serious impact in the months and years
\nto come. We may not know what those implications are at present, but we
\nmust be prepared for life to shift course in both small and large ways. At
\nShowhomes Charleston, we are doing our very best to change our means of
\noperations in order to keep our staff healthy, while continuing to serve
\nour clients and their agents to the best of our capabilities. Adjusting our
\nsails is necessary and will allow us to remain focused on our mission and
\nexercise our creative energies – something we are pretty good at doing!<\/p>\n

Here are a few changes we are implementing to that end:<\/p>\n

VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS<\/p>\n

We are offering virtual consultations for owner-occupied properties that
\nneed assistance in preparing their home for market – whether listing soon
\nor in the near future. When staying home for safety during the pandemic, it
\nmay be a good time to take care of the necessary pre-listing
\nrecommendations we may offer. We can do these via photography of each room
\nin the home or by a FaceTime call. Email me at lbrown@showhomes.com<\/a> to schedule or
\ndiscuss this option.<\/p>\n

PERSONAL PROTECTION<\/p>\n

Keeping our team safe is of the utmost importance. We are not requiring any
\nof our personnel to work if they do not feel comfortable. And, we are only
\nstaging vacant homes and ensuring that gloves are used, surfaces are
\ncleaned, and that individuals maintain a 6-foot distance while working. <\/span><\/p>\n

RESCHEDULING<\/p>\n

We have worked hard to push up pending projects. Should the State of South
\nCarolina issue a stay-at-home mandate, we will comply and reschedule any
\nprojects as needed. Real Estate has been deemed essential in some areas,
\nbut staging may not be considered a part of the real estate exemption. We
\nwill not jeopardize our business nor our employees in putting anyone at
\nrisk.<\/p>\n

HOME MANAGER HOMES<\/p>\n

In order to ensure the safety of our Executive Home Managers who live in
\nand care for luxury homes while they are on the market, we are providing
\nguidelines for showings and certification of non-exposure or illness due to
\nCOVID-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n


\nSince 2011, Showhomes has been a trusted home staging resource for the real
\nestate community in the Lowcountry. We hope that our operations are not
\nimpacted to a great degree, but we recognize that nothing is certain as we
\nall navigate through these unchartered waters. We value the confidence you
