Our Recap of 2022 Showhomes Charleston
Recap 2022
As we’ve entered the second half of January, our minds are focused on new goals and behaviors — fresh starts in an acceptable time to reset. I’ve had a chance to reflect recently on 2022: the good, the not-so-good, and the lessons learned that have shaped our goals and vision for 2023.
Our team accomplished staging over $50 million in real estate that closed in 2022. We staged over 55 properties in a hot buying season where staging was essentially “optional” for many real estate agents and homeowners. Our average days on market was 11.76 with an average of 98.7% of list price. Our highest sale was 112% over list price. We’re proud of these numbers and that 2022 was our best year ever in terms of revenue and production. More than that, we have served our clients to the best of our abilities and that is our mission every single day. And, we donated our time and resources to help some non-profit organizations to benefit those in need.
Here are some reflections of 2022:
FUN EVENTS
Here are some photos of our spring photos shoot for Real Producers magazine. Mulberry & King styled us and made our photo session a little bit sweeter!
Spring Market in High Point never disappoints, and we were inspired and fueled for creative design that fueled staging success.
Our annual conference this year was a blast from the past, literally, as our theme was Back-to-the Future! We sported our vintage 80’s vibe and enjoyed time with our colleagues.
DESIGN FAVES
One of my favorite projects was this stunning home on Daniel Island. This gorgeous renovation reflected a modern style and sophistication. Our team had a fun time staging it and we also had the opportunity to work with Estelle Glass in providing a background for their Fall photo shoot.
We also saw an uptick in builder staging which indicates that new homes are sitting just a little longer. And, the benefits of staging these homes delivered results for our clients. This distinctive home for Hunter Quinn Homes sold just days after being staged. It had previously been a home in the HGTV series Rock the Block, but wasn’t the home we had originally worked on for that series. This one needed a bit of neutralization so that buyers could relate to the home itself
I absolutely loved all of our update projects this year. My particular crush was the transformation of a ho-hum condo into a stunning and visually dynamic retreat for our out of town clients. Every inch of this unit was elevated to provide a cool, comfortable home-away-from-home. The quartz counters with just a little sparkle are simply magical!
CHALLENGES
As is always true, we had some challenges too. These challenges were more like retooling of our minds and focus. Staffing changes in our leadership team allowed for growth with our team’s responsibilities and ultimately a more well-oiled organization. It’s always hard to see someone leave, but we know that all things work together for good.
Our worst and most disappointing loss this year was a hack to our social media accounts. Our Marketing Manager had built our Instagram following to over 3,000 and the loss of this account was a real gut-punch. But, like so many things in life, you must get up, brush yourself off, and start over. That’s exactly what we have done – looking ahead and not behind. It’s been an uphill climb, but we are better for it! Please follow our new account on Instagram @showhomes_charleston https://www.instagram.com/showhomes_charleston/
STUDIO STORE
Because we were always being asked, “When is your next warehouse sale?” we opened our STUDIO STORE in our office and warehouse. This was a little experiment and we’ve had some fun sales and met some great customers! Look out for more sales on the first Wednesday of every month!
2023
This year has launched with exciting momentum! We are excited about the many projects already on the calendar. We look forward to making every moment count and what opportunities we must serve and help others in 2023!
